Dr Ronzoni is a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. A child psychiatrist is a doctor who specialises in diagnosing and treating behavioural, thought and emotional disorders in children and young people. A child psychiatrist uses their knowledge on many factors including biological, psychological and behavioural.
The job of a psychiatrist is to devise a treatment plan that may involve just the child, the family, and/or another group. A treatment plan may either include medication or therapy, but most commonly a combination of both in order to reduce symptoms.
A child psychiatrist can also act as an advocate for the child with other doctors, school professionals, agencies, or other organisations.
Dr Ronzoni is a qualified doctor who trained for many years in the UK and abroad. He has a long career in the NHS in England, Wales and Scotland, the private sector, and for the past two years, in a private partnership with the Government of Jersey to improve the island's ADHD waiting list in CAMHS.
Dr Ronzoni's clinical experience extends to all subspecialties in inpatient and outpatient mental health services for children and young people. He has worked virtually for several years, with great success on assessments and treatments.
Dr Ronzoni is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and he is registered in the General Medical Council specialist register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr Ronzoni has a diverse, multicultural background. He is passionate about promoting and improving children and young people's mental health by decreasing health inequalities and facilitating access to services.
