For treatment of ADHD, Dr Ronzoni will always advise for a Shared Care Agreement with the child's GP. A Shared Care Agreement is an agreement between you, your child's GP, and Dr Ronzoni (the Specialist Consultant) which enables the care and treatment your child receives for ADHD to be shared between Dr Ronzoni and the GP. It ensures monthly prescriptions are organised by the GP while the overall monitoring of the treatment and dose adjustments remain under Dr Ronzoni's responsibility. This will only occur when your child is stable on a given ADHD medication and dose.
If the GP refuses to enter into a Shared Care Agreement, which is possible, Dr Ronzoni can provide private scripts in the longer term with an associated costs of £25 per script (maximum 30 days worth of medication per scrip) plus £10 P&P.
The cost of the medication review appointment will be in addition (£140 for 30 minutes review and £235 for 50 minutes review)
It is therefore recommended that you check with your child's GP before agreeing to an assessment, if you are considering treatment of ADHD in case this is diagnosed.
